Operating loop

A practical day in the role

Step 01

Review current delivery blockers and production issues

Step 02

Patch a dashboard, report, monitoring, billing, or admin bug that affects customer work

Step 03

Run targeted checks and document the verification result

Step 04

Tighten one reliability, observability, or QA gap

Step 05

Flag any roadmap request that does not directly improve delivery, trust, payment, or reliability

What you'll do

  • Fix production issues that block customer delivery across dashboard, reports, monitoring, billing, auth, and admin surfaces
  • Maintain the test lanes that protect paid delivery, including Jest, Playwright, enterprise screenshot readiness, and targeted smoke checks
  • Improve reliability around Stripe, email, Prisma, report export, monitoring, and enterprise portal workflows
  • Harden observability, deployment, and incident response paths without expanding the roadmap unnecessarily
  • Help the founder decide which product fixes materially improve delivery, evidence quality, payment, or customer trust

Requirements

  • Strong Next.js, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, and Prisma experience
  • Comfort debugging production web apps with payments, auth, email, and background workflows
  • Ability to work from a delivery-risk queue instead of a speculative feature roadmap
  • Good testing judgment across unit, integration, Playwright, and smoke coverage
  • Clear async communication and availability for urgent customer-delivery blockers

Nice to have

  • Experience with Vercel, AWS, Stripe, NextAuth, OpenTelemetry, or queue-backed workflows
  • Experience maintaining admin dashboards or analyst operations tools
  • Security-conscious development habits for sensitive customer data
  • Ability to document important changes succinctly
