Catching a Double Life: How Bumble Activity Exposed a Serial Cheater
November 2, 2025
Outcome
3 active dating profiles linked to single device; evidence packaged for divorce proceedings.
Background
A client contacted TraxinteL after a friend reported seeing their spouse on Bumble. The spouse denied everything and claimed the profile was old or fake.
Investigation Methodology
- Profile Verification: We located the Bumble profile through geospatial search radius analysis, matching the photos, bio details, and noted preferences.
- Cross-Platform Sweep: Our username and email permutation engine was run against 30+ dating and social platforms.
- Device Fingerprint Correlation: Registration metadata from multiple platforms was compared for device identifiers, browser fingerprints, and IP ranges.
Key Findings
- Three active dating profiles were identified: Bumble, Hinge, and a niche dating platform.
- All three accounts were registered from the same device within a 2-week span, 6 months into the marriage.
- Activity logs showed the subject was actively messaging on all three platforms within the last 48 hours.
- One profile contained photos taken in the couple's shared apartment, identifiable by unique wall art.
Outcome
The client received a forensic evidence package with timestamped screenshots, registration metadata, and activity timelines. The package was accepted by their attorney for use in divorce proceedings. Total investigation time: 36 hours.
