Documenting Impersonation Accounts That Reused a Creator's Content

Scenario
A creator discovered that their photos and videos were being reposted without permission by a dozen accounts across several platforms, some of which promoted lookalike subscription pages that took payment from fans.
Review Approach
- Content matching. Using originals the creator supplied, analysts ran reverse image searches to find public reposts.
- Account pattern review. Visible profile details, including bio wording, link targets, and posting cadence, were recorded for each impersonating account.
- Domain records. The lookalike subscription domains were checked against public registration, hosting, and certificate-transparency records.
- Public complaints. Public posts from fans who said they had paid and received nothing were preserved as context.
What the Review Surfaced
- Twelve accounts shared the same bio template and linked to two lookalike domains registered days apart.
- Both domains used the same hosting provider and similar page templates, which suggested coordination.
- Public complaints described the same payment flow on both domains.
Limits of the Review
Shared infrastructure suggests coordinated operation but does not establish who runs it. Payment-processor records are not available to TraxIntel and were not sought.
Handoff
The creator's counsel filed copyright and impersonation reports with the platforms and a complaint with the payment processor named on the lookalike pages. Removal decisions belonged to each platform.
