Background
A family contacted TraxIntel after their 16-year-old had been missing for 72 hours. Local police had not yet escalated the case. The teen's phone was off, but their Snapchat account had shown brief activity.

Investigation Methodology
- Snap Map Analysis: We analyzed the teen's last known Snap Map location before the account went dormant, establishing a 2-mile geofence.
- Friend Network Mapping: We identified the teen's closest Snapchat contacts and cross-referenced their public posts for location clues.
- Cross-Platform Triangulation: The teen's Discord and Instagram accounts were analyzed for any recent activity that could provide independent location confirmation.
Key Findings
- The teen's last Snap Map ping placed them at a bus station 45 miles from home.
- A close friend's Instagram story (posted 6 hours after the disappearance) showed a partially visible background that our analysts identified as a specific fast-food restaurant in a neighboring state.
- A Discord message from the teen's account (sent from a new IP address) was geolocated to the same city.
Outcome
The compiled intelligence was delivered to the family and local law enforcement within 18 hours of engagement. The teen was located safe at a friend's house in the neighboring state. This case was pro bono.
