A Day in the Life
Here's what you might do on a typical day:
Conduct threat modeling sessions with engineering teams
Perform security code reviews and architecture assessments
Research emerging vulnerabilities and attack vectors
Develop and test security controls and mitigations
Respond to and investigate security incidents
Present findings and recommendations to leadership
What You'll Do
- Perform offensive security research and vulnerability discovery
- Conduct threat modeling for new systems and features
- Design and implement security automation and controls
- Lead security incident response and forensics
- Research emerging threats relevant to OSINT operations
Requirements
- 5+ years of information security or offensive research experience
- Deep knowledge of web application security, networks, and systems
- Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessment
- Strong understanding of cryptography and secure systems design
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Nice to Have
- Bug bounty program experience
- Malware analysis background
- Experience with security compliance (SOC 2, GDPR)
- Published security research or conference talks
